How to floss your teeth?
To clean the interdental spaces and contact surfaces, dental floss (floss) is used.
- We wind dental floss 30-40 cm long on the middle fingers of both hands, fixing it between the thumb of the right hand and the index finger of the left.
- We introduce a stretched thread into the gap between the teeth. We do it smoothly, without unnecessary effort, so as not to injure the gum.
- We press the floss to the lateral surface of the tooth and, after 6-7 movements back and forth, we bring the thread back.
- We repeat the manipulation with each tooth, remembering to twist the floss, changing the used area to a new one.
It should also be remembered that using a floss cannot replace a brush, and after cleaning the interdental space, it is better to use a brush and mouthwash.
